COALESCE (Coordinated Opportunities for Advanced Leadership and Engagement in Science Communication in Europe) aims to establish a self-sustaining European Competence Centre for Science Communication and an associated Science Communication Academy that will be part of the Competence Centre.

COALESCE attempts to bridge the gap in scientific understanding within European societies and tackle challenges related to public skepticism and policy responses during scientific crises. the project plans to achieve this by enhancing and building upon existing standards of excellence in science communication, public engagement with science, and co-creation practices.

through robust collaboration with key stakeholders, COALESCE will convert insights from projects funded by the EU’s Science with and for Society (SwafS-19) program and other EU and national science communication initiatives into valuable resources and tools. This transformation is intended to promote high-quality, evidence-based, and interdisciplinary science communication.

as COALESCE partner we contribute to the communication strategies and providing our expertise in capacity building and creating a connection with the national and regional hubs involved in the project.
